Airlines Adding Bidets
By Mike Edwards
Flying on airplanes can sometimes be very unpleasant especially when using their lavatories. These lavatories are very cramped and sometimes have paper napkins everywhere.
Two airlines are hoping to solve this problem by adding bidet toilets to their new Boeing 787 Dreamliners. All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines will be adding these upgraded lavaltories and they will be available to both first class and economy classes.
For those of you who are worried about water being on the floor you need not worry. These bidets only operate when someone is sitting on the unit.
One has to wonder if it is only the Japanese who are demanding an improved bathroom experience when taking on an airplane. I'm sure that it is just a matter of time before airlines here in the U.S. follow suit. Many have claimed that using a bidet can be a refreshing experience.
Hopefully these bidets will be available in all jetliners. And it is nice to hear that these airlines are providing these luxurious bidet toilets to not only to first class passengers but to all the passengers.
